Leigh, who was introduced to her by actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a deal with MGM to start her career as a film actor in the latter half of the 1940s. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular films over the following decade such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis film from 1954).
