Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson, an American actress, is known for her roles as Buffy Summers and Rebecca Becky Granger. Also, she played the characters in the television film Nightingales, the NBC series of the same title (which was only for a couple of episodes) and Erica Paget from CBS's show Early Edition, and Marlowe Viccellio in the show Psych. A native of California, Swanson was interested in acting as a young girl. Her acting career began with a number of commercials. She first appeared on the screen in 1984 in an NBCs It's Your Time episode. Following that, in 1986's romance comedy Pretty in Pink, Swan made her debut on the bigscreen. Swan gained notoriety for her lisp of blonde and breathless voice. In recent years, she's moved from playing main characters to smaller roles. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of the best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
